Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President-Taxation

In this role you will be Supervising India tax compliance activity (income tax, GST, and transfer pricing) - timely and accurate filing of tax returns, advance tax workings, tax holiday/ benefit workings etc. 

Responsibilities

Handling transfer pricing documentation, certification, and policies for Indian entities

Working with advisors to effectively handle income tax, GST and transfer pricing audits and assessments.

Supporting India income tax and GST litigation - working with advisors/ counsels, reviewing submissions, coordinating data submissions, cash flow management (refunds/ demands), internal reporting etc.

Tax provisioning for India - Current and deferred tax, as per India / US GAAP; preparation of quarterly and annual tax packs- identification of key items impacting effective tax rate; liaising with auditors as part of closing process.

Analysing tax technical positions from ASC 740 / 450 standpoint for US GAAP reporting- maintenance and reporting of reserve balances

Partnering as subject matter expert (tax) on organisation wide projects such as ERP implementation, tax tool implementation

Advising internal stakeholders and partnering with business teams (sourcing, controllership, IT, legal etc.)in relation to Indian tax and regulatory related matters (WHT, GST, TP, SEZ/ STPI regulations) in relation to contracting arrangements, operations, intercompany transactions etc.

Supporting M&A and business-restructuring activities like due diligence, valuation, etc.

Keep abreast with relevant updates and explore opportunities for bringing tax efficiency and optimisation in the tax/ transfer pricing positions and overall tax processes.

Handling export incentives applications and related activities including audits and litigation.

Advising on allied regulatory laws such as foreign exchange control regulations, corporate law regulations, SEZ/ STPI regulationsetc. 

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

• Chartered Accountant• Significant US tax reporting, tax compliance and transfer pricing experience. • International tax exposure (treaty interpretation etc.) 

Preferred qualifications

Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills. Should be able to work on strict deadlines, in a dynamic/ fast paced business environment while being a good team leader/ player.
