Education Support Officer Position Type Classroom Education Support Commence Date 27 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week 28.75 hours per week over 40 weeks per year (8:45am -3pm Monday to Friday) Subject(s)/Grade ESO Grade 3 Role Details This wonderful opportunity exists to join our collaborative, inclusive Education Support Officer team at St Joseph's Memorial School. This position is for 28.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (8.45am to 3pm Monday to Friday) during term time. This role involves providing learning and wellbeing support to individual students and group support with a diverse range of additional needs. The Education Support Officer will work collaboratively with teachers and the leadership team to assist students within the classroom and contribute to their overall learning, engagement and success. The successful candidate will: Actively support and contribute to the Catholic ethos of St Joseph’s School and be willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life. Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting student learning , promoting a positive, inclusive environment that prioritises wellbeing, belonging and growth. Show initiative in engaging students in their learning , while providing responsive support for their social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills and work collaboratively under the direction of the Principal, Leadership Team, Teachers and ESO colleagues to enhance learning outcomes for all students. Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills , with confidence in supporting students in these core areas. Training or experience delivering literacy or numeracy intervention programs such as MiniLit Program is desirable but not essential. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning , reflective practice, and continuous improvement. The successful applicant will be required to provide the following First Aid Certification Working with Children Check clearance (DCSI) RRHAN-EC training certification Completed CESA Declaration form  Are you following us on LinkedIn & Facebook?
