Sr Configuration/Release Engineer

This includes the following responsibilities:Develop the next generation of the Build and Release platform for a fast-growing development organization.Support and maintain source code management and build tools (Git/GitHub/Jenkins/Maven/Nexus)Provision, monitor, and manage virtual servers in AWS to scale the Build and Release PlatformWork with Kubernetes on deploying Jenkins and other application servers in AWSAutomate provisioning with ChefTool adoption and integrationTroubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and documentationSupport and improve the build pipelineBranching and code repository administrationDeveloping productivity tools & pluginsAutomate anything you can get your hands on
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:3-5 years hands on experience with automation, build & deployment processes, and configuration managementStrong Linux and networking skillsProficiency in one or more scripting languagesExperience in source code management and branchingUnderstanding of automated build and release systemsPassion for automation, continuous improvement, and DevOps cultureClear communication skills, both in person and onlineSecurity and compliance mindedFluency in the software development lifecycleA strong commitment to customer servicePreferredExperience in developing automation in large enterprise scale development environmentsInter-team training and knowledge sharingAbility to tune and scale Linux systemsExperience managing, debugging, and improving build systemsExperience with agile methodologiesFluency in several of the following technologies:Git / GitHubMaven / NexusRuby / Perl / Shell ScriptingJenkinsAmazon Web ServicesChefLinux (CentOS/Fedora/RedHat)Kubernetes / Docker
