Roles & Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible to oversee production planning and management activities, developing production plan and timelines; determining production requirements based on plant capacity; planning workflow and schedules for production departments; monitoring production status, identifying delays and adjusting schedules to meet deadlines; assisting in production risk assessment, notifying customers on delays and outages; and evaluating current production processes and recommending improvements.

Primary responsibilities shall include:Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to develop comprehensive production plans and schedules.Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.Analyse historical data and market trends to accurately forecast demand and adjust production plans accordingly.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.Allocate resources efficiently, including labour, machinery, and materials, to optimize production output.Identify production bottlenecks and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency.Maintain and update production records, reports, and inventory databases.Ensure compliance with quality standards and conduct regular quality checks.Facilitate smooth communication and material flow across the supply chain.Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate product deliveries and shipments.Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to suggest process enhancements.

Other details:

A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain management. Previous supervisory or managerial roles are essential.A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a significant advantage.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-term production strategies aligned with business objectivesExceptional leadership skills to inspire, manage, and mentor teams of production planners and inventory controllers.Profound analytical expertise to interpret complex data, identify trends, and formulate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.Proficiency in working with advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, inventory management software and expertise in excel.Proven track record in successfully leading large-scale projects related to production planning, process optimization, and inventory management.Expertise in troubleshooting complex production and inventory challenges and devising innovative solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise interactions at all levels.Experience in managing PPIC operations in a global or multi-location setting.
