We are seeking a talented and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Security Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions for our GCP environment, ensuring the protection of our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security controls seamlessly across all cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures for Google Cloud Platform.Architect and design secure GCP cloud solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and manage security controls for GCP services, including IAM, VPC, Firewall rules, and encryption mechanisms.Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing of GCP environments.Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for GCP infrastructure and applications.Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.Provide technical guidance and support to teams on security best practices and remediation of security findings.Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies in the cloud computing space.Participate in incident response and provide support during security incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, particularly within GCP environments.Hands-on experience with GCP security services such as Cloud IAM, Security Command Center, Cloud Security Scanner, etc.Experience with container security (Kubernetes) and serverless architectures on GCP.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and implementing controls to meet these standards.Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including VPN, DNS, HTTP(S), TLS/SSL.Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification or similar relevant certifications.Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their security frameworks.Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role, guiding security initiatives within an organization.Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into Agile development methodologies.
