Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst
with strong expertise in the
Annuities and Life Insurance domain
. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful delivery of business initiatives. The role requires strong domain knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable system requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with business users and stakeholders to understand and document business needs, focusing on annuities and life insurance products.
  • Analyze, define, and document
    business processes, rules, and system requirements
    .
  • Collaborate with product managers, underwriters, actuaries, and operations teams to design solutions.
  • Create and maintain
    BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    .
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Support
    system integration, UAT, and regression testing
    to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Conduct gap analysis and propose process improvements to optimize business workflows.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on
    annuities (fixed, variable, indexed) and life insurance products (term, whole life, universal life, etc.)
    .
  • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to
    best practices in requirement gathering and documentation
    .

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years
    of experience as a Business Analyst in the
    Insurance domain
    , with at least
    5 years in Annuities & Life Insurance
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    insurance products, policy administration systems, claims, underwriting, and compliance
    .
  • Hands-on experience in
    requirement elicitation, documentation, process modeling, and gap analysis
    .
  • Proficiency in creating
    use cases, workflows, wireframes, and user stories (Agile/Scrum)
    .
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with
    technology teams
    for system implementations, enhancements, or migrations.
  • Knowledge of
    regulatory frameworks (NAIC, FINRA, IRDAI, etc.)
    is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
