Job Title : Cloud DeveloperLocation: Remote Type of position: Contract- 6 months Experience: 5 + YearsJob Summary:We are looking for talented developers with experience developing complex Cloud AWS serverless applications to join an exciting client project as part of our experienced team of Cloud developers, platform engineers and data engineers. This is a great opportunity to get involved in large scale project and will require you to be comfortable working with serverless technologies in small autonomous squads working as part of a larger programme. We keep our knowledge fresh by continually looking for new technologies and sharing what we’ve learned. As part of our team, you will actively enjoy learning new technologies and developing your skills, and will contribute to this process. What we want from you: Developing complex cloud-native serverless applications Using AWS Lambda, preferably written in Type Script (knowledge of Node.js is useful) Using AWS Serverless products, including API Gateway, Event Bridge, SNS, SQS, Dynamo DB etc Implementing a range of integration patterns, from Graph QL to Saa S APIs to FTP. Understanding traditional Design Patterns Understanding Dev Ops principles (ideally with experience of Monorepos and Azure Dev Ops) Understanding an Infrastructure-as-Code language (e.g. Cloud Formation, Terraform) Test-Driven development, with a quality-driven mindset Communicating, with excellent written and spoken skills Data Modelling Solid understanding of VCS (ideally git) If you know some of this, even better: Experience of modern e Commerce platforms Contribute to Open Source projects Experience developing multi-site applications Diagrams-as-code Understanding of modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC) Consideration of cross cutting concerns (e.g. Observability, Security) About VMLVML is a leading creative company that combines brand experience, customer experience, and commerce to create connected brands and drive growth.
