Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager at Scentscircle in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth, identifying new market opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and managing sales activities. The role requires regular interaction with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development and sales
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify new market opportunities
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Knowledge of scent marketing and/or related industries
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
8-10 years of experience in sales or a related field.
Willingness to travel 80-90% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Actively seek out new sales opportunities through calls, meetings, and networking.
Industry Outreach:
• Target various industries, including Hospitality, Retail, Facilities Management, Malls & Showrooms
Data Collection & Market Research:
• Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret external and internal data and write reports.
Competitor Analysis:
• Monitor and report on activities and products of competitors.
Customer Relationship Management:
• Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
Travel:
• Frequent travel across the state for client meetings, presentations, and trade shows.
