Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regulatory Reporting Solutions Specialist to manage and address regulatory inquiries, support daily reporting challenges, and aid in the resolution of technical issues across various global markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of capital markets, and expertise in regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Support:
Address regulatory inquiries and daily reporting challenges for our clients.
Aid clients in understanding solution functionalities and resolving reporting issues.
Conduct regular client calls to discuss critical defects and application health checks.
Regulatory Navigation:
Work on the Regulatory Reporting engine to identify trades reported to DTCC for CFTC, EMIR, MAS, ASIC regulations by downloading ACK, NACK, and Fail reports.
Manage DTCC submission activities including Trade state and valuation reports.
Handle exceptions in trade and transaction reporting, ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
Navigate various regulations including EMIR, MiFID, ASIC, MAS, CFTC, SEC, SFTR across multiple asset classes: FX, IR, Commodity, Equity, Credit, Collateral, Valuation.
Issue Resolution:
Identify under-reporting, over-reporting, incorrect reporting, and match differences.
Reconcile data between DTCC position reports and system extracts to identify position and intraday breaks.
Collaborate with product application support and development teams to identify, rectify bugs, and test implemented fixes.
Ensure that Real-Time RT and Confirmations are reported to DTCC within stipulated timeframes. Coordinate with internal technical teams and FO/BO/MO for data verification.
Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:
Identify potential product defects, providing detailed feedback for improvement.
Collaborate with business users on service requests, investigating business logic and application behavior.
Data Analysis:
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and log reviews, analyzing workflow failures.
Track and update issue statuses, maintaining clear communication with clients.
Prepare control and exception management reports.
Technical Proficiency:
Utilize scripting/programming languages (Shell, Python, SQL, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot using various data formats (Excel, JSON, XML, FPML) against mapping sheets and technical specifications.
Work on the FTP tool to upload vendor files from Droit and perform reconciliation to identify reasons for failures.
ITIL Processes Application:
Apply ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management for efficient operations.
Act as Shift Lead, managing high-priority Incidents and blockers, leading a small team, and providing necessary training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Extensive experience in regulatory reporting and capital markets.
Strong technical skills and proficiency with scripting/programming languages.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and methodologies.
Strong communication and client management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of trade lifecycle and capital market products.
