### **Key Responsibilities:**


- **Architectural Design & Leadership:**

- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, distributed software systems with a strong focus on cybersecurity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into well-architected solutions.

- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality of software architecture and design.


- **Software Development & SDLC Management:**

- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the SDLC, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

- Oversee the development of software using Progress and Java, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.

- Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams in best practices for secure coding and software design.


- **Cybersecurity Focus:**

- Incorporate security principles and best practices into software design and architecture.

- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and design software solutions that mitigate these risks.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity and apply them to improve the software architecture.


- **Collaboration & Communication:**

- Work closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to align architectural goals with business objectives.

- Present architectural designs and decisions to stakeholders, including executives, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

- Lead technical discussions and retrospectives, driving continuous improvement in architecture and development practices.


- **Innovation & Continuous Improvement:**

- Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and integrating them into the architecture when appropriate.

- Continuously assess and refine architecture to ensure scalability, security, and performance as the product evolves.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the development team.


### **Required Qualifications:**


- **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- **Experience:**

- 10+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in Progress and Java.

- 5+ years of experience in software architecture and design, particularly in building distributed, scalable systems.

- Proven experience in the cybersecurity domain, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.

- **Technical Skills:**

- Extensive knowledge of SDLC and software engineering best practices.

- Strong experience with architectural patterns, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Proficiency in secure coding practices and security frameworks.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

- **Soft Skills:**

- Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
