Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one counselling to students dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, academic pressure, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns.
  • Conduct initial assessments and formulate plans based on student needs.
  • Manage crisis situations, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning, in collaboration with other university staff and emergency services, as needed.
  • Deliver psychoeducational workshops and mental wellness programs on topics such as coping skills, mindfulness, exam stress, and resilience.
  • Participate in engagement activities to raise mental health awareness across the student body.
  • Refer students to external mental health resources or specialized services when needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure holistic care and student success.
  • Maintain up-to-date, confidential records and documentation in line with professional, ethical and legal standards.

Education & Certification:

  • Masters degree / Ph.D in Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology or related discipline.
  • Licensed with a recognized mental health regulatory body
