Job Location: Mumbai
Experience required:
Candidate should have 8-10 years’ experience in sales and sourcing of high-performance chemicals and specialty Chemicals.
Education:
Should be a Chemical engineer, Polymer engineer, Graduate in Chemistry. Additional qualification like MBA will be an advantage.

This position will require minimum 20% - 30% travel Pan India locations

Supporting Actions
Propose & implement sourcing/sales plan aiming to meet or exceed business target
Achieve GP Target
Long term plan to achieve MTBP (Mid term business plan )
Add more customers / suppliers
Specialty chemical Sourcing for Japan and other regions. Investigate & offer quotation from Indian suppliers for Japan and other regions.
Investigate & offer quotation from Indian suppliers for enquiries from Japan and other CBC offices. Provide all necessary support for developing this business and support Japan and other CBC offices.
Project Management, Coordinating and controlling dispatches and other logistics for specialty chemical business. Daily logistics, follow-ups for shipments, samples and Import-export documentation.
Break down annual number into monthly numbers), based on potential and share it with the Manager
Regular co-ordination with Head quarter / Global offices to explore more business opportunities for import as well as export.
Regular visit / interaction with key suppliers, accounts and maintain contacts at various level with suppliers/customers organization
Weekly meeting with Management for joint review on development project, previous months status, plans specific actions for Sales to convert new project into business and review the plan for next month.
Prepare commission debit notes time to time for material invoiced
Promote the product basket to potential customers in India and abroad, as the case may be. Identify new product development opportunities based on market intelligence and customer feedback.
Prepare monthly reports and submit to management
Receivables & Credit control
Ensure on time collection from Customers / dealers
Overdue should be under control and no overdue receivable by month end.
Also ensure that there is zero overdue
Set receivables targets for the month at the beginning of the month.
Monitor and review the receivables collection on daily basis.
Weekly review with Manager
Send communication receivable statement to all customer in the beginning of the month.
Visit customers and if needed with higher management for critical receivables.
Market Development Plan
From existing customers find out their requirements and source from global offices
Market penetration to increase market share
Increase in sales revenue and Profitability
Identify new markets either from existing customers OR explore new where we are not present.
Make travel plan.
Prepare customer mapping report showing application / consumption / current supplier / pricing / credit terms
Co-ordinate with manager to improve synergy and do joint visits.
Plan regular visit to key customers and also to untapped markets.
Participate in Exhibitions and make minutes of meetings.
Prepare visit report and submit to management with action plan
Update sample submitted status in the report and follow up with customers to get feedback
Market Intelligence
Strategic decisions by senior management
New product development
Keeping watch on the competitor’s strategy along with customer activities and provide necessary information to the higher management for necessary actions at their end
Collection of market information from various sources and timely submission of the same to dept. heads and functional heads
Regular visits to the customers for developing relationship to get competitors as well as customers information
Understand from customer any new product is launched by competitor at what price / application
Inform manager and global offices and provide customers specifications to check if we can also develop similar product which competitor offering
Make report and discuss with management
Tolling projects
Fulfil overseas manufacturer requirements for their requirements of product to be manufactured in India
Good export opportunity for CBC with local manufacturer and global manufacturer tie up
Increase of sales revenue of CBC India
Based on requirement by global offices for identifying tolling partner, investigate in the market for right partners
Visit their facility and check for infrastructure /production machineries / inspection facility
Safety parameters
Get MIRA report and check their financial status
Who are their end customers
Any exports to Japan OR other countries
Prepare feasibility report and submit to management and overseas office
Sign NDA agreements
