Job SummaryBe a central point of contact for India (IN) sourcing requests, to optimize product portfolio and building strategic, long-term relationships with suppliers, while establishing and managing new supplier connections.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify and establish new suppliers for SCI in the IN Market - (IN to APAC, IN to Global, Inter IN) contact/communication /coordination/negotiation, both proactively and in response to regional requests.Use his/her expertise in the techno-commercial evaluation of opportunities for the product range from IN suppliers to gain cost benefits, better payment terms, and create strategic long-term partnerships.Building strong relationships with senior contacts at key suppliers and ensuring multiple points of contact.Promoting DKSH as a global business partner to both existing and potential suppliersSetting up and managing a process for handling sourcing requests, selecting, and evaluating suppliers.Supporting supplier audits with internal and external teams like Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Legal, etc.Acting as the main contact for sourcing products from IN.Coordination with other country’s sourcing Teams with a vision to portfolio GAP closingCompetition / Suppliers survey: searching on granted and non-granted information, technology mapping.Proactively promote cross-team collaboration and participate in cross-country sourcing projects.Ensure effective turnaround time to deliver the goals.Drive self-learning and improvement in sourcing and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning to achieve team/function goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

RequirementsGraduate and or Postgraduate in Chemistry8-10 years of experience in specialty chemicals / distribution industries preferredPreferably experienced in sourcing projects in the chemical industryKnowledge of Indent, Stock and Sales, High Seas distribution sales.Business development mindset (willingness to develop new product portfolios, markets, and industry technologies)Excellent capability to work with multi-cultural teams, and remote WorkingFlexible and organized – need to manage several complex projects simultaneously.Availability to travel within IN (regularly but not intensively) and overseas (occasional)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical capabilities & negotiation skillsPositive attitude, assertiveGlobal exposure in international MNCs is a plus
