Job Description :

- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Avaya Engineer to join our team as a Migration Specialist.

- In this role, you will be responsible for leading migration projects focused on transitioning telephony systems from legacy Avaya platforms to modern communication solutions.

- Your expertise in Avaya technologies and migration strategies will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and successful transition for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:.

- Migration Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive migration plans and strategies tailored to the specific needs and requirements of each project.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.

- System Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of existing Avaya telephony infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and potential challenges.

- Analyze system configurations, call flows, and usage patterns to inform migration strategies.

- Platform Configuration and Deployment: Configure and deploy Avaya communication platforms, including Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Session Manager, and related components, in accordance with migration requirements.

- Ensure proper integration with existing systems and adherence to best practices and standards.

- Integration with New Technologies: Implement integrations with modern communication technologies and platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, or cloud-based VoIP solutions.

- Configure SIP trunking, gateways, and other connectivity components to facilitate interoperability.

- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of migrated systems to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.

- Identify and address any issues or discrepancies to ensure a seamless transition for end-users.

- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to end-users and IT administrators on using the new communication platform.

- Ensure that stakeholders are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support and maintain the migrated infrastructure.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, system configurations, and testing results.

- Generate reports to track progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Avaya certifications such as Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) or Avaya Certified Integration Specialist (ACIS) preferred.

- Proven experience in Avaya telephony engineering, with a focus on system design, configuration, and administration.

- Hands-on experience with Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Session Manager, and related Avaya platforms.

- Familiarity with SIP protocol, VoIP technologies, and telephony standards.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex telephony issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Prior experience in telephony migration projects is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
