We’re building a local-first marketplace in New Jersey and planning to expand. The Role We’re looking for a skilled backend engineer who takes pride in clean, reliable code. You’ll work directly with the founder and app team to design APIs, automate workflows, and keep our systems fast and stable as we grow. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain REST APIs using Python and JavaScript Work across Supabase and AWS infrastructure Build backend logic for bookings, payments, and notifications Manage CI/CD and automate testing across environments Monitor uptime, debug issues, and improve reliability Write clear documentation and communicate effectively with the team What You Bring 3+ years of backend experience (Python and Node/JS preferred) Strong understanding of AWS and relational databases Experience with Supabase and Firebase Ability to design scalable systems and handle async workflows Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment Bonus Points Experience integrating mobile apps or cross-platform APIs Familiarity with QA automation or testing frameworks Passion for building tech that powers real-world local services Why Join Us You’ll join a small, hungry team shipping real product every week.
