Technical Writer


Summary:

The Technical Writer will collaborate with Product Manager, Business Analysts and Developers to document and maintain requirements, Use cases, End User Guide, Technical Documentation, API Guide and Release notes in an Agile/Scrum team environment. The candidate must demonstrate superior writing, editing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

- Experience working in Agile environment; participating in scrum standups, user story grooming, writing user stories

- Prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documentations, Solution documentation and data reporting documents.

- Gather and analyze technical information from various sources to document new and changing requirements and to document processes and procedures.

- Create and maintain API documentation and technical developer guides

- Independently gather information from technical and nontechnical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, organize and write User Guides, technical specifications, and process documents.

- Work with Product Owners and release team to generate Release summary, release notes and release communications for customers and other end users

- Create and organize information architecture.

- Develop and maintain templates for written documentation ensuring a consistent "look and feel" and meets and exceeds the company standards and client expectations.

- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, considering the target audience for various types of documentation.

- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.

- Create or work with graphic designers and analysts to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.

- Ability to follow verbal directions and produce documentation in a quick turn-around environment.

- Ability to work with a cross-functional team.

- Maintain excellence in document and presentation materials.

- Experience within the Financial / Revenue / Accounting domains a big plus
