Position Summary with Job Responsibilities
Job Description: PPM
• Overall management of P&SC (Purchase & Supply Chain) end to end deliverables as per New Product Development process.
• Developing and leveraging project management tools & template to efficiently deliver program deliverables.
• Obtain BoM with forecast volume from Program Management. Work within P&SC to monitor, report targets and overall supplier status (timing, cost, capacity, logistics, PSW/PPAP and any potential supplier issue).
• Agree on program sourcing strategy (preferred suppliers, terms & conditions, etc.) in cooperation with Commodity Purchasing. Drive techno commercial discussion, evaluation of various techno commercial solution and objectively drive the decision making
• Coordination of new components including prototypes: support Purchasing in identifying and benchmarking suppliers. Organize any required sourcing/stakeholder team meetings to approve sourcing decisions. Track and manage new external components from prototype to production.
• Frequent reporting of Purchasing / Advanced Purchasing related deliverables by conducting regular project reviews and functional review meetings.
• Support Post-SOP coverage for assigned programs
o BoM pricing updates
o Support VAVE activities toward cost reductions
o Support sourcing of new provisional components via NCR process
o Ensure contract availability for added (new) components
o Monitor, track and report progress / achievements
• Overall compliance according to all assigned Roles and Responsibilities in line with current Purchasing / Advanced Purchasing, SQ & SCM standards and Procedures.
• Self-sufficient individual who is able to work across functions and across organisation hierarchy levels.
Other requirements
• BE/BTech Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics, MBA (Preferred), Project Management Certification (Preferred)
• Experience : 5-10 years
• In depth understanding of NPI process
• Project management skill set, familiarity with various tools and templates
• Commercial acumen with keenness to understand technology
• Provide and explore future strategy development in support of Management
• Able to manage broad set of stakeholders
• Able to decide when to lead and when to be efficient team player
• Apt communicator and able to represent P&SC in various forums across organisation hierarchy
