Position Title: Business Development Manager Mattress
Department: Sales & Business Development
Location: Karnataka (Handling stores across the state)
Experience Required: 69 years (Retail Sales; Mattress/Furniture category preferred)
Reports To: Head - Mattress

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager Mattress will be responsible for driving sales, training, and operations for the mattress category across Royaloak stores in Karnataka. The role demands a strong understanding of retail sales, category management, and the ability to train and motivate store teams to deliver consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales performance for the mattress category across all assigned stores.
  • Generate leads, track conversions, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and ensure consistent business expansion in the category.

2. Category & Store Operations

  • Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and timely availability of products.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and vendors for stock planning and inventory management.
  • Ensure effective merchandising and in-store visibility for the mattress category.

3. Training & Capability Building

  • Conduct product and sales training for store staff to enhance category knowledge.
  • Ensure store teams are equipped to explain product benefits, features, and customer value.
  • Regularly evaluate and refresh training modules to improve customer experience.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the store operations team, supply chain, and marketing for seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure timely product availability and promotional support.

Key Requirements

  • 69 years of experience in retail sales/business development.
  • Experience in mattress category highly preferred; furniture retail experience is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of retail sales processes, customer engagement, and store operations.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and training skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stores across Karnataka (travel required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
