Job Overview


The Territory Manager - Agricultural Sales is responsible for managing and growing sales in a specific geographic territory. They will be responsible for selling agricultural products and services, such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of the agricultural industry, strong sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses. The Territory Manager will also be responsible for achieving sales targets, conducting market research, and providing feedback to management.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in agricultural sales or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and farming practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Valid driver's license


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Manage and grow sales in the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences
  • Provide product knowledge and technical support to farmers
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
  • Achieve sales targets and meet performance metrics
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competition
