An exciting opportunity exists for a Lead Lived Experience Support Worker, who is passionate, highly motivated and has suitable experience. We are seeking applications from suitable candidates to lead a small team of Lived Experience Worker at Broadmeadows and Craigieburn Community Hospital (Hume Community Mental Health) About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About Mental Health Division: Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services. About the Role: You will mentor and support Peer Workers across our team and contribute to the development of peer-led programs. This role works directly with consumers of the Hume and Craigieburn Community Team to support their recovery, enhance resilience, and empower them to reconnect with community life. The position also plays a key role in strengthening staff and consumer understanding of the value and impact of the peer workforce within clinical mental health services. This role requires you to lead a small group of Lived Experience Workers (Consumer Peer Support Workers) across two campuses, whilst predominantly being based in Broadmeadows. This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff and service delivery to our client group across the Hume Local Government Area To be successful in this role you will have: Passionate and creative leadership skills Lived experience in the mental health workplace Capacity to guide and inspire your team.
