We are hiring a skilled Audit & Tax Assistant with up to 3 years (post Articleship) of experience to lead statutory and tax audit engagements across brokers, traders, start-ups, service providers, real estate builders, etc., aligned with Indian GAAP, SA, CARO, and Income Tax/GST legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Leadership: Plan, execute, and oversee statutory and tax audits under Companies Act, SA, CARO, section 44AB, and Indian GAAP. Manage client interactions and ensure audit deliverables are timely.

Tax Compliance & Advisory: Handle direct tax including tax audit schedules, ITR filings, and assessments and GST audits. Liaise with tax authorities and recommend tax-efficient strategies.

Risk & Control Review: Assess risks and internal control environments, identify deficiencies, and recommend process improvements across finance and operations.

Reporting & Presentation: Draft audit and tax reports with clear findings, risks, and recommendations; present them confidently to clients or senior management.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior auditors and tax staff, review working papers, enforce documentation standards, and foster a collaborative learning culture.

Regulatory Updates: Stay current with amendments in Indian GAAP, SA, CARO clauses, GST norms, and tax legislation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory: Qualified CA or SemiQualified CA with more than 3 years of relevant experience (excluding articleship).
Demonstrated experience in conducting statutory audits, tax audits, and GST compliance.

Technical Skills & Competencies:
Deep knowledge of Indian GAAP, Auditing Standards, Companies Act / CARO, GST and Income Tax provisions.
Proficient in Excel (schedules, data analysis), Tally, SAP, and Comtek.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and professional scepticism.

Soft Skills:
Excellent written/verbal communication; comfortable presenting findings to partners or audit committees.
Ability to manage multiple client engagements under tight timelines.
Strong people-management mindset; experience mentoring others and interacting with clients.

This is Work from Office opportunity for 6 days/week. The office location is situated in Kandivali, Mumbai.
