Role & responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain data.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor KPIs (Production, OEE, Rejection %, Downtime, Inventory, etc.).
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, SCM, and finance teams to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Maintain and optimize databases, ERP/MES data, and reporting systems.
  • Support predictive and preventive maintenance analysis using equipment performance data.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations, defects, and downtime.
  • Assist management in strategic planning with data-based insights and forecasting models.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with company standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of data analytics, statistics, advanced excel and reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI / Tableau, SQL (knowledge of Python/R preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) in manufacturing.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and present insights clearly.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and KPIs.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a manufacturing/automobile/engineering industry.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools and ERP data integration is an advantage.
