Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Training and Placement Officer. The Training and Placement Officer will be responsible for campus placement, communication, college recruiting, soft skills training, and overall training coordination. The role involves working closely with students and professionals to ensure successful placements and providing guidance on career development.
1. Industry & University Engagement:
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, including automation and robotics companies, to understand their hiring needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to organize guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits for students to enhance their understanding of real-world applications.
- Assist in organizing and participating in promotional events, workshops, and seminars to raise awareness and attract students and industry partners to our institute.
2. Placement Coordination:
- Facilitate internships and placements for students by identifying suitable opportunities and coordinating the application and selection process.
- Provide guidance and support to students throughout the placement process, including resume writing, interview preparation, and professional networking.
3. Career Development:
- Conduct career counseling sessions and workshops to help students identify their career goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and job market dynamics to provide timely advice and recommendations to students regarding career paths and skill development.
4. Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of student placements, including tracking placement outcomes and collecting feedback from employers and students.
- Generate reports and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of placement strategies and identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with faculty members to align curriculum with industry requirements and incorporate industry-relevant projects and case studies into the coursework.
- Collaborate with the marketing and admissions team to promote the institute's placement success and attract prospective students.
Qualifications:
- MBA, HR.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in training and placement, preferably in the field of automation and robotics or related industries.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with industry professionals and employers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis, with experience using relevant software tools and databases.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in the automation and robotics industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
