Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our team as the Vice President of Indirect Taxes. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of indirect tax compliance and advisory services. The successful candidate will have a senior-level position and will be based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range. As the Vice President, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's indirect tax strategy and providing leadership to the team.
Qualifications and Skills
CA/CS/CMA/LLMSenior-level experience (7-10 years) in indirect tax consulting or a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulationsStrong leadership and management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in tax software and MS Office applicationsProfessional certifications such as CA or CPA are preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company's indirect tax strategyManage a team of tax professionals and provide guidance on complex tax issuesDevelop and implement SOPs, ChecklistsUpdate clients about the relevant legal amendments and judicial pronouncementsReview and enhance tax compliance processes and ensure they are in line with relevant laws and regulationsMIS reports and overseeing administrative aspects like billing, recovery, performance evaluation etc.Provide expert advice on indirect tax matters to clients and internal stakeholdersIdentify tax planning opportunities and assist clients in optimizing their tax positionHandle indirect tax audits, disputes, and litigation casesStay updated on the latest changes in indirect tax laws and regulationsCollaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting and reporting of indirect taxesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholdersParticipate in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the organization
