Role: Assistant Vice President - Taxation


Overview: Lead Direct and Indirect Tax functions, ensure compliance, enhance productivity, and drive process automation. This is an independent role, responsible for setting up the tax strategy and governance framework.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee timely settlement of TDS, PT, and GSTR filings to avoid litigation.

• Coordinate with consultants on tax notices (Income Tax, GST).

• Manage Tax Audits, Transfer Pricing, GST Audits, ITR filings.

• Guide the team on BAU tasks and ensure timely task closure.

• Handle monthly TDS reconciliation, GST credit, and queries.

• Engage with senior management on tax litigation/assessments.

• Review and reconcile balance sheet schedules (TDS, GST).

• Develop and implement a robust tax strategy and governance framework.

• Foster team growth and development.

Team Size: 5 - 6 members

Requirements: Chartered accountant with 8-10 years of experience, preferably in health or general insurance.
