Job Summary: As an AWS, Azure, and VMware Cloud Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and delivering end-to-end cloud services that integrate both public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premises or hybrid environments using VMware. Your role will involve consulting with clients to assess their current IT landscape, designing cloud architectures, implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring seamless integration between different cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Strategy and Assessment

  • Engage with clients to understand their business requirements, IT landscape, and cloud strategy.
  • Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure, including on-premises VMware environments, to develop cloud migration or hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Develop detailed cloud roadmaps, including cost analysis, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.

2. Cloud Solution Design and Implementation

  • Design and implement cloud architectures on AWS and Azure, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Integrate VMware environments with AWS or Azure using tools like VMware Cloud on AWS or Azure VMware Solution.
  • Configure and manage hybrid cloud environments, enabling seamless operations between on-premises VMware and public cloud resources.
  • Develop automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or vRealize Automation.

3. Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud Management

  • Deploy and manage VMware solutions, including vSphere, vCenter, NSX, and vSAN, in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot VMware environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Implement and manage hybrid cloud solutions, enabling workload mobility between on-premises and cloud platforms.

4. Security and Compliance

  • Ensure cloud and hybrid architectures comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Implement robust identity and access management (IAM) policies across AWS, Azure, and VMware environments.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigations.

5. Performance Optimization and Cost Management

  • Monitor and optimize cloud and VMware resources to achieve optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Implement tools and processes for continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting across all environments.
  • Advise clients on cost management strategies, including resource tagging, reserved instances, and optimizing VMware licensing.

6. Client Engagement and Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and strategic guidance on cloud and virtualization solutions.
  • Lead workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities to empower client teams.
  • Assist clients with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to cloud and VMware environments.

7. Documentation and Reporting

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Prepare regular status reports, risk assessments, and project updates for clients and stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects and engagements.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect), Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert), and VMware (e.g., VCP, VCAP).

5+ years of experience in cloud computing and virtualization, with strong expertise in AWS, Azure, and VMware technologies.

Proficiency in cloud architecture design and implementation across AWS and Azure.

Experience with VMware environments, including vSphere, NSX, and vSAN, and integrating them with public cloud platforms.

Strong understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience in managing multi-cloud environments.

Expertise in automation tools and IaC frameworks such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and vRealize Automation.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in hybrid environments.

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders..

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS or Azure VMware Solution.
  •  Knowledge of other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud.
  •  Experience in large-scale cloud and virtualization migration projects.
  •  Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
  •  Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation using cloud and VMware technologies.
