Job Title: Machine Operator (Petrochemical Equipment)
Location: Kuwait
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of Equipment:
- Operate and monitor petrochemical machinery including reactors, boilers, receivers, and cooling towers in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently, at optimum levels, and within safe operating limits.
- Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor the performance of all machinery during shifts and take corrective action in case of abnormal operations.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues such as leaks, pressure variations, temperature changes, and mechanical failures.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to perform repairs or maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe operation of machinery.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to petrochemical operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and report any hazards to supervisors.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment performance, repairs, and operational status.
- Report any irregularities to supervisors in a timely manner and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with the maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure the proper operation of machinery.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior operators and team members when needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in mechanical or petrochemical engineering is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a machine operator in a petrochemical, chemical, or industrial plant.
- Hands-on experience operating equipment such as reactors, boilers, receivers, and cooling towers is essential.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of petrochemical machinery and processes.
- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in hazardous environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and operational procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
