Job Description

Empower Family Group have an amazing new opportunity Empower Residential are looking for a Children's Homes Registered Manager to join the residential team at our new Children's Residential Care Home.

We are looking to employ an inspirational Children's Home Registered Manager to work in one of our small children’s homes based in Somerset.

 

The home will be newly registered so you will have full autonomy recruiting your own team and leading its development. You will also benefit from direct access to the Empower Family's Group outreach team, who can help in emergencies covering shortfalls in staffing. Which means less pressure on you and no external agency workers

 

The Empower Family Group specialise in providing child focused care and support for children and young people who have complex needs. We endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of the children and young people, enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives.

Hours are flexible but as the Registered Manager you will be based in the home Monday to Friday, providing the team and young people with the leadership and support required to provide the highest quality of care.

This role is subject to the successful applicant having an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.

Requirements
  • NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management is preferred, or a willingness to work towards this. (Desirable)
  • NVQ Level 3 Children's service (Required)
  • UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently

Requirements
• Strong organisational skills. • Recruitment and training/development experience. • The ability to plan your own work. • Willing to use initiative and meet deadlines. • Reliability and honesty. • Good IT, and communication skills. • Proven HR Administration experience (minimum of 2 years). • Proven recruitment experience (minimum of 2 years) • Basic understanding of employment law. • Office 365 package and strong administration skills. • Accurate attention to detail. • Ability to work well under pressure and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent organisational and time-management skills. • Self-motivated and a team player. • Discretion and honesty when handling confidential information. • Strong communication skills – verbally and written.
