Job Description

Medsolve are proud to be partnering an amazing client, who are looking for a Deputy Manager – Children’s Home for their site in Newcastle to join them on a permanent basis.

 

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week and they offer a very attractive salary of £30,000 + an on call allowance and Sleep in Allowance.

 

(Please note we DO NOT  offer sponsorship)

We are looking for a committed/ experienced residential care professional for our Specialist Therapeutic Intervention Service in Gosforth. We work with children between the ages of 5 and 11 on admission to be able to address their early trauma.

 

As a Deputy Manager – Children’s Home you will be part of a team providing one to one care. You will deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence in matters relating to the day to day running of the home. You will be responsible for the physical, social, and emotional well-being of the children and will need to support and sometimes participate in the children’s daily routines including therapy, education and family time. You will be working with a team and a manager to ensure the children in your care have all their needs met, ensuring all safeguarding responsibilities are at the forefront. You will support the Manager in supervising staff and developing staff to ensure that we are meeting all areas of our statement of purpose. You will need to have an understanding of the Quality Standards which set out in the children’s homes regulations the outcomes that children must be supported to achieve while living in children’s homes.

 

About you, the ideal Deputy Manager – Children’s Home

·         Be caring and compassionate

·         Must be able to drive.

·         Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.

·         Good communication, flexibility and teamwork is essential.

·         Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior position.

·         Good organisational and time management skills.
