Job DescriptionJoin our team as a

Data Integration Engineer

and become an integral part of the Data Function at SUSE. You will play a key role in bringing our Data Strategy to life and moving SUSE step closer to become a Data Driven organization.You will work closely with Data Integration Architect, Data Engineering TPO and other Data Engineers on development of new Data Architecture. You will also bear responsibility for the enterprise-wide IT support for data integration. Design, development and maintenance of new and existing solutions in enterprise data integration tool (Boomi) will be your daily responsibility.Critical to achieving excellent results will be hands-on experience with Boomi Integration tool, having great knowledge of ETL processing and of data integration principles. SQL, Python and knowledge of various AWS services along with Airflow will give you an edge to become a well-rounded Data Engineer fully supported by the Company.This role sits within the Data Engineering team, reporting into the Data Engineering TPO who is Czech republic based.Focus AreasCollaborate closely with Data Integration Architect and Data Engineering TPO to support delivery of a new data architecture as one of the pillars of SUSE Data Strategy.

Analyze requirements as well as suggested solutions and translate them into technical design followed by the implementation and maintenance.

Clearly communicate development increments to the Data Engineering TPO and the rest of the team to ensure that the work is accepted and well understood.

Create and maintain technical documentation.

Validate and unit test results of the development.

Proactively resolve incidents and technical issues

Provide extensive support during hypercare (financial closing) period

Proactively seek for improvements and drive their execution.

Challenge decisions and provide alternatives.

Drive enablement - make sure that created solutions are well communicated and their adoption has been successful, hence the solution becomes fully operational.

Actively participate in cross-functional projects

Required Experience & Skills3+ years of continuous experience within data integration, data-flow design and implementation, with a focus on cloud-based software solutions

2+ years of experience with Boomi Integration platform (including API Management)

Working knowledge of REST, SOAP as well as ODATA APIs

Practical knowledge of designing and building well architected integration processes in Boomi

Fundamental knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure architectures

Good knowledge of technical concepts and best in class principles in data integration

Good knowledge of SQL, Python would be an advantage

Nice to haveKnowledge of Groovy scripting is welcome

Knowledge of cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure architectures and application portfolios (Glue, Redshift, S3 and Lambda) is a big plus

Experience with Apache Airflow - ability to create DAGs E2E using best practices is an advantage.

Working knowledge of data warehousing and ability to apply well designed architecture on specific use cases is a plus.

Experience with Boomi server administration and maintenance is a plus
