Dear Applicants,GIVA is looking for Merchandising Head at our Head Office- Bangalore Location.Merchandising Head Job Description.Position Overview:The Head of Merchandising at GIVA will be responsible for developing and executing themerchandising strategy to maximize sales and profitability across both online and offline channels.This role requires a keen eye for design, a deep understanding of market trends, and strongleadership skills to manage a team of merchandisers and collaborate with cross-functionaldepartments. The person should have analytical mindset, and should be able to design inventorymodels.Key Responsibilities:Merchandising Strategy:-

Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy that aligns with the GIVA’sbrand vision and business objectives.-

Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to identifyopportunities for new product development and assortment planning.-

Ensure a cohesive product offering that meets the needs of both online and offlinecustomers.Product Assortment:-

Oversee the selection and curation of the product assortment, ensuring a balanced andcompelling range of fine jewelry.-

Collaborate with design and production teams to develop new collections and exclusivepieces.-

Manage product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including product launches anddiscontinuations.Inventory Management:-

Develop and maintain inventory strategies that optimize stock levels and minimize excessinventory.-

Implement effective inventory control measures to ensure accurate forecasting and demandplanning.-

Monitor sales performance and adjust inventory plans accordingly.Sales and Marketing Collaboration:-

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies thatdrive traffic and sales across all channels.-

Provide input on pricing strategies, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.-

Ensure merchandising efforts are effectively communicated and executed in both online andoffline environments.Team Leadership:-

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandisers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.-

Set clear goals and performance expectations, providing regular feedback and conductingperformance evaluations.Data Analysis and Reporting:-

Utilize data analytics to monitor sales trends, product performance, and customer behavior.-

Generate regular reports on merchandising metrics and provide actionable insights to seniormanagement.-

Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance merchandising effectiveness.Qualifications:-

Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Fashion, or a related field.Master’s degree is a plus.-

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the fine jewelleryor luxury goods industry/ 4+ years of experience with Tier 1 consulting firms-

Strong understanding of both online and offline retail environments.-

Proven track record of developing and executing successful merchandising strategies-

Excellent leadership and team management skills.-

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informeddecisions.-
