VP - Plant Operations & Supply Chain

As Vice President of Plant Operations and Supply Chain for the alcohol industry would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, and supply chain management, to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and distribution of alcoholic beverages. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational and supply chain expertise, as well as experience in the alcohol beverage sector. This role will manage the plant operations for all the 3 distilleries across India. Plant Operations: Production Management: Developing and implementing production strategies, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. Quality Control: Establishing and maintaining quality control procedures, monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Process Optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, implementing best practices, and continuously seeking ways to reduce waste and enhance productivity. Maintenance and Infrastructure: Overseeing plant maintenance, coordinating capital expenditure projects, and ensuring the availability of resources and equipment. Safety and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing safety protocols, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, and maintaining a safe working environment. Supply Chain Management Procurement and Sourcing: Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and other resources. Inventory Management: Developing and implementing inventory management strategies, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing waste and obsolescence. Logistics and Distribution: Coordinating with logistics providers, managing the movement of goods from the plant to distribution centers and customers, and ensuring timely delivery of products. Demand Planning: Working with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan production accordingly, and manage inventory to meet customer needs. Import/Export Management: Managing the complexities of importing and exporting raw materials and finished products, including customs and regulatory requirements. Leadership and Strategy: Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term strategies for plant operations and supply chain management, aligning with the overall business objectives. Team Leadership: Managing and motivating a team of professionals, providing guidance and support, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for plant operations and supply chain activities, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient resource allocation. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, finance) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, distributors). Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Specific Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of the alcohol beverage industry, including manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Proven experience in plant operations management, including production, quality control, and maintenance. Expertise in supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
