PositionOverview:
Weare seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations tooversee the daytoday operations for a growing healthcare benefitstrust fund. In this role you will lead a team responsible formanaging the fund’s operations including the functions ofmember services employer outreach finance and accounting andfacility management. You will play a pivotal role in strategic andoperational planning ensuring compliance with regulatoryrequirements recruiting and developing key management and staff anddriving initiatives to improve operational efficiency andeffectiveness. The ideal candidate is a proactive highly ethicalleader with strong business and financial acumen exceptionalorganizational and people skills proven ability to build and growoperations and teams and a commitment to excellence.
WhatYou Will be Responsiblefor:
- PlanAdministration: Oversee the daytoday administrationand operations of the Benefits Plan and Plan Office ensuringoperational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.Monitor performance metrics and recommend solutions forimprovement.
- CustomerService and Employer Outreach: Establish performancestandards and procedures for customer support and outreachactivities. Handle appeals complaints and inquiries to ensureoptimal customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for processimprovement and implement solutions to enhance servicedelivery.
- Finance: Ensure the accuracy integrity and efficiency of finance andaccounting activities. Collaborate with auditors to maintain soundinternal controls and oversee annual financial audits. Monitorfinancial performance and recommend adjustments to operationalbudgets asneeded.
- InformationTechnology: Establish performance standards for ITsystems and technology used in plan administration. Work withvendors to maintain and enhance technology infrastructure.Implement procedures to secure Plan Office technology anddata.
- Leadership: Recruit train and evaluate staff providing vision guidance andmotivation to achieve organizational goals. Foster a culture ofdiversity equity inclusion and justice (DEIJ) within the team andacross theorganization.
- Boardof Trustee Meetings: Coordinate and attend Boardmeetings assisting with agenda development material preparation andmeeting logistics. Ensure timely distribution of meeting materialsand accurate recording of meetingminutes.
- StrategicPlanning: Contribute to developing and implementingshort and longterm strategic goals. Identify opportunities fororganizational growth and operationalimprovement.
- VendorManagement: Negotiate and manage relationships withexternal partners and vendors including IT service providersconsultants and professional servicesfirms.
WhatYou Bring to theRole:
- Bachelor'sdegree in healthcare administration business finance operations orrelated field; Master's degreepreferred.
- 10years of experience in managementlevel administrative roles withdemonstrated expertise in operations and fiscalmanagement.
- Strongunderstanding of finance operations health plan administration andregulatorycompliance.
- Experiencemanaging staff and functional areas with a track record ofsuccessful leadership and teamdevelopment.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office financial management and project managementtools.
- Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to effectively interact withstakeholders at alllevels.
- Detailorientedwith strong analytical and problemsolving abilities. Thrives in anenvironment of innovation andgrowth.
- BilingualEnglish/Spanishpreferred.
CompensationBenefits and JobStructure:
- Competitivesalary of $100130K annually based onexperience
