Primary roles and responsibilities
  • A Mainframe automation specialist with hands-on experience, migration experience of CA OPS /MVS to other automation products.
  • Good working knowledge of REXX, Ability to develop solutions of missing customizations in BMC automation solutions post migration would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of any of the BMC Automation tools / solutions would be a key differentiator.
  • Close collaboration with Senior architects and execute the agreed migration plan would be a key element in this job role.

Mandatory Experience
  • 10 + years of experience as a mainframe automation engineer.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as an automation expert preferably in CA OPS/MVS.
  • Hands on experience in product/ tools migration with developing source code for product customizations in the BMC automation environment is required.
  • Strong experience in TSO, USS, JCL, REXX, ISPF skeleton processing.
  • Knowledge of compilers, binder, code release techniques (bind, phase-in).
  • Consultative skills with customers, partners when driving deliverables and setting priorities.
  • A self-starter, willing to work in a geographically dispersed team, with a proven ability to meet assigned timelines with high quality, complete deliverables in unsupervised, often remote, situations.

Desirable Experience
  • CA OPS/MVS Experience
  • BMC AMI OPS automation experience
  • Knowledge of a set of mainframe automation products would be an advantage.
