Director of Human Resources

Position Summary :
The Director of Human Resources (HR) will oversee all aspects of the HR function, ensuring that the organization's culture, values, and business objectives are aligned with HR strategies and practices. This role involves strategic leadership in talent management, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement. The Director will work closely with senior management to develop and implement HR initiatives that promote organizational growth and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
-Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and culture.
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, advising on talent management, workforce planning, and organizational design.
- Lead initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
-Talent Acquisition & Management :
- Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent across various departments.
- Ensure effective onboarding, development, and retention programs are in place.
- Lead succession planning efforts and career development programs for key roles.
-Employee Relations :
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Ensure employee satisfaction and engagement through surveys, feedback, and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce.
-Performance Management :
- Oversee the implementation and management of performance appraisal systems.
- Develop metrics to track employee performance and implement improvement strategies where needed.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with market trends.
-Compliance & Risk Management :
- Ensure the organization is compliant with all local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Oversee HR policies, employee handbooks, and regulatory compliance initiatives, including workplace safety and anti-discrimination policies.
- Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments.
-HR Operations & Analytics :
- Manage HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Use data analytics to make informed decisions about workforce trends, performance, and productivity.
-Budgeting & Resource Management :
- Develop and manage the HR department budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with department heads to determine HR needs and allocate staff and resources effectively.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation strategies, organizational development, and workforce planning.
- Proven track record in managing and developing HR teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth company.
- Expertise in HR technologies, HRIS systems, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is a plus.
