Onboarding & Support Specialist
About the Company: MyYogaTeacher is a rapidly growing, well-funded Silicon Valley startup that connects world-class yoga teachers in India with clients around the globe—transforming lives through one-on-one online yoga sessions. We are looking for an Onboarding & Support Specialist to join our vibrant, high-performing Care Team.
About the Role: This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional support, helping students achieve success, and growing within a dynamic, fast-paced startup.
Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Student Success:
- Onboard new students by guiding them through the platform, ensuring they understand how to use our services effectively and get the most out of their yoga sessions.
- Follow up regularly with students to ensure they are progressing smoothly and achieving their fitness and wellness goals.
Real-Time Support:
- Provide responsive, empathetic support to students and teachers through chat, email, and voice during US and India working hours.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose problems, and create support tickets using Zendesk or Slack to ensure quick resolution.
Collaboration Across Teams:
- Work with the Engineering and Product teams to address technical support issues, provide feedback, and help drive the product roadmap to improve student and teacher experiences.
- Interface with Teacher Operations to ensure all reports and student progress updates are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor student feedback, track common support queries, and report trends to help refine the onboarding and support processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to suggest product or service enhancements based on user feedback.
Technology Proficiency:
- Provide guidance on how to effectively use Zoom for yoga sessions and troubleshoot any connectivity or technical issues.
- Track, measure, and report key performance metrics related to student support and onboarding effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an onboarding, customer support, or success role, ideally in a fast-paced, tech-driven or educational environment.
Required Skills:
- Empathy: You understand students' challenges and frustrations and can offer calm, thoughtful solutions.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: You can manage multiple tasks, stay on top of follow-ups, and ensure no student’s needs go unmet.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using tools like Zendesk, Slack, and Zoom. Familiarity with reporting and data analytics is a plus.
- Collaborative: Able to work seamlessly across teams—Engineering, Product, Teacher Ops, and others—to drive results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. You can explain complex ideas clearly and provide thoughtful, empathetic support.
- Adaptable: Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ever-evolving startup environment.
- Positive Attitude: Always willing to go the extra mile for students and willing to adapt based on feedback and new challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Yoga, Asanas, or mindfulness practices.
- Experience with customer support tools like Zendesk, Intercom, or similar platforms.
