Role Overview :

Ferns & Petals (FNP) is the leader and pioneer of the concept of gifting in India. Started in 1994 as a Flower Shop in Delhi, we have now over 400 outlets all over India, delivering happiness across 500+ cities. We also have international presence in UAE, Singapore, Qatar, Kuwait, etc. with further plans for quick expansion. This position is for the Ecommerce division of FNP India, FNP UAE, FNP Singapore (fnp.com, fnp.ae & fnp.sgrespectively).This position is for the Ecommerce division of FNP India, FNP UAE, FNP Singapore (fnp.com, fnp.ae & fnp.sgrespectively). We are looking for an Engineering Head to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects and build the state of a state-of-the-art E-commerce platform for FNP. The individual will communicate with employees, stakeholders, and customers to ensure our company's technologies are in sync with the business objectives. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. Someone well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts will be a good fit.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to assess and recommend technologies that support

- Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluate progress and quality against defined thresholds, Drive high standards on quality, and deliver solutions on time and within budgeted cost.

- Build and sustain engineering team(s). Hire and develop top talent.

- Continuously improve team Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

- Experience in working and managing the engineering groups of Applications, Cloud Apps, and Open source technology will be preferred .

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Previous working experience in a similar role of Engineering Head(Technology Vertical)

- Proven track record of success in leadership positions and should have at least 15 years of experience in architecture and deployment of e- Commerce applications in retail and e-Commerce business with hands-on exposure to the latest e-Commerce. Server Applications preferred.

- Experience includes at least 10 years in full lifecycle product engineering. Ability to Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.

- Proficiency in designing and developing complex internet applications, assessing and evaluating alternative solutions plus experience in building scalable multi-channel software solutions.

- Proven achievements in strategic planning at the enterprise level aligning technology with business objectives resulting in efficient, high performing teams, producing predicted results.

- Demonstrated experience in selecting and managing external vendors to design and implement designated aspects of enterprise IT requirements and solutions.

- A proven and consistent track record of meeting revenue Competencies:

- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to lead initiatives and people towards common organization goals. Proactive problem solver and should have attention to details.

- Clarity of Thought (Sequential/logical presentation in explaining a subject matter).Adaptability/Flexibility to change(New ideas/ new concepts)

- Proven achievements in strategic planning at the enterprise level aligning technology with business objectives resulting in efficient, high performing teams, producing predicted results.

- Demonstrated experience in selecting and managing external vendors to design and implement designated aspects of enterprise IT requirements and solutions.

- A proven and consistent track record of meeting revenue targets.
