Job Role - Chef (Indo-Chinese) - Veg Cuisine

Duration: Full time

Location: Goa, Maharashtra, HP, Uttarakhand

Department: F&B

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in line with the hostel's menu and recipes
  • Follow established cooking methods, portion sizes, and quality standards to deliver consistent and flavorful dishes
  • Prepare ingredients, including chopping, cutting, and marinating, to ensure timely execution during service hours
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in the ordering and receiving of ingredients to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety guidelines and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of meal service
  • Contribute creative ideas for menu enhancements and presentation improvements.
  • Assist in the training of new kitchen staff
  • Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks to uphold kitchen hygiene standards
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment, utensils, and ingredients
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continually improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Culinary diploma or relevant culinary education is preferred
  • Prior experience as a Commi 2 or CDP or Sous Chef or equivalent role is advantageous.
  • Multicuisine
  • Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots or ingredients
