Job Summary
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including payments, receipts, invoices, and financial documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with statutory requirements while supporting the company's financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Payments & Receipts Management:
- Handle all incoming and outgoing payments accurately and ensure the timely recording of all transactions.
- Post-Dated Cheques (PDCs):
- Track issued and received PDCs and ensure they are deposited and reconciled on their due dates.
- Cash Deposits & Reconciliation:
- Process cash deposits and maintain daily reconciled records in the accounting system.
- Document Management:
- Maintain and organize all physical bills, vouchers, and supporting financial documents for audit and compliance purposes.
- Credit & Debit Notes:
- Prepare, process, and record credit notes and debit notes accurately.
- E-Way Bills & E-Invoices:
- Generate E-Way Bills and E-Invoices as per statutory compliance within prescribed timelines.
- Sales & Purchase Invoices:
- Prepare and record all sales and purchase invoices accurately in the accounting system.
- Transaction Recording:
- Maintain up-to-date and error-free books of accounts by accurately recording all sales, purchases, and expense transactions.
- Expense Management:
- Process and verify expense bills, ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and timely accounting.
- Collections Coordination:
- Send timely payment collection reminders to sales agents and coordinate follow-ups to ensure smooth recovery of dues.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Good understanding of GST, E-Invoicing, and E-Way Bill processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ERP or similar) and MS Excel
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (preferably in a trading or automotive industry)
