We specialize in providing solutions in Testing and Measurement, Assembly Line Automation, Motion Control, Automation, PLC and HMI Electrical Control Panels, Customized Industrial Software Development, SPM's and Machine Vision. Our main platforms include Mitsubishi, Delta, Siemens, for PLCs. We also offer PC-based test and measurement solution on LabVIEW and machine vision integration using Smart cameras and/ or Using LabVIEW vision


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Operations at Konem Pvt. Ltd. located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing teams, ensuring smooth communication between departments, and implementing and monitoring budgets.


1.    Organize and oversee the daily operations of our company

2.  Ensure that all workings are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements

3.   Chalking out or improve operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.

4.    Analyses plans, understands specifications, contracts, and codes to determine project requirements

5.   Manages the development of project plans in advance of project activity assuring effective execution by the Project Team. Monitors progress to assure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan

6.    Vendor Development and Negotiations:

7.    Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure stores efficiency

8.    Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives

9.    Responsible for the coordination of Field Engineering, Installation of Automation Control Systems, Managing of Subcontractors and Vendors, and Commissioning Activities.

10. Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability

11. Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI’s

12. Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources

13. Cater to client’s requirements, customer audits or internal personnel’s concerns

14. Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress

15. Purchase activity& negotiations, vendor follow ups and ensure hassle free material availability for manufacturing

16. Participates in job site final walk thru and manages the completion of all close out documentation such as CAD and Logic drawings, Programs, etc. and system operating instructions, transfers or excess materials, billings, collections and payments, and all project records

17. Personnel scheduling for projects and service call and keeping tab on the timelines for systematic delivery of projects

18. Budget management of projects

19. Supervise activity and provide technical assistance wherever necessary to ensure success of the deliverables

20. Supervising staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback

21. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

Qualifications

  • Operations Management and Team Management skills
  • Analytical Skills for problem-solving and decision-making
  • Strong Communication skills for effective collaboration
  • Budgeting experience and financial acumen
  • Experience in the industrial automation industry is a plus
  • BE/BS degree in Mechanical engineering and /or operations management with Design Experience in SPM industry
  • Proven work experience as operations manager / Plant manager
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Automation Controls experience
  • Excellent contracting skills
  • Should have prior experience in field of PLC/HMI/SCADA automation, AutoCAD and SolidWorks/ Solid edge/ Catia/ Pro-E knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics
  • Good IT skills (databases, MS Office, EXCEL POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  •  Must have the ability to resolve the scope of work and contractual issues on assigned projects, as well as the ability to price proposes and negotiates change orders
  •  Must have the capability to accurately forecast project costs by calculating earned value, and accurately assessing monthly Cost to Complete on assigned projects
  • The aptitude to understand and interpret drawings and project specifications related to our work
  • Must have strong leadership, listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
