Position OverviewThe CSR Head will lead the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in a highly rural area with significant potential to become a global electronics manufacturing hub, driven by strong government commitment. The role demands a strategic leader who can forge impactful community relationships, uplift local communities, and develop sustainable infrastructure. The CSR Head will be pivotal in aligning the company’s CSR goals with the socio-economic growth of the region.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Engagement & UpliftmentDevelop and nurture strong relationships with the local community, government, and other stakeholders.Understand local needs and design programs to enhance education, healthcare, skills training, and employment opportunities.Promote inclusivity by engaging underrepresented groups such as women and marginalized communities.

Strategic CSR PlanningFormulate a CSR strategy aligned with the company’s goals and the local socio-economic development agenda.Identify and execute high-impact projects in areas such as education, skill development, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure development.Ensure CSR initiatives support the growth of the region as an electronics manufacturing hub.

Process & Infrastructure DevelopmentCollaborate with government agencies to develop essential infrastructure like roads, water supply, schools, and healthcare facilities.Partner with local organizations to create scalable programs for improving sanitation, energy access, and digital connectivity.Establish robust processes to ensure transparency and accountability in CSR projects.

Skill Development & EmploymentDrive vocational training and skill development programs tailored to the needs of the electronics manufacturing industry.Collaborate with educational institutions to build a pipeline of local talent for employment opportunities in the sector.Support entrepreneurship by enabling micro-businesses and startups in the community.

Sustainability & Environmental StewardshipImplement initiatives to promote sustainable practices, including renewable energy, waste management, and resource conservation.Conduct awareness campaigns on environmental protection and sustainability for the community.

Stakeholder CollaborationAct as a liaison between the company, local communities, government bodies, and NGOs to align objectives.Work with internal departments to integrate CSR goals into the company’s broader business strategy.

Monitoring & ReportingEstablish metrics to measure the impact of CSR initiatives on the community and the company.Prepare and present periodic reports to management and government agencies.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.

Key CompetenciesStrong understanding of rural development challenges and opportunities.Expertise in CSR strategy development and implementation.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Proficiency in project management and financial planning.Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align diverse objectives.Knowledge of government schemes, policies, and compliance related to CSR.

Qualifications & ExperienceA postgraduate degree in social work, rural development, business administration, or a related field.Minimum 20 years of experience in CSR, community development, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.Demonstrated success in implementing impactful CSR programs in rural or semi-urban areas.Experience in working with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
