Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and logistics to ensure seamless functioning and achieve production targets.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for the plant to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of department heads, supervisors, and plant employees, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare and manage the plant's annual budget, control operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement processes to maintain product quality, minimizing defects and waste.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implementing best practices in safety protocols.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement, drive lean manufacturing initiatives, and implement automation and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and optimize supply chain processes to ensure timely availability of raw materials and efficient production schedules.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to maintain strong relationships and address any operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing plant.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, driving cost efficiencies, and achieving production targets.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive change, influence others, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
