Job Summary
AJS Cloud is looking for a motivated and technically capable
L1 Desktop Support Engineer (Night Shift)
to join our IT Support team. In this entry-level role, you will act as the first point of contact for employees across global teams, providing essential technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations during night hours.
This role is ideal for recent graduates or junior IT professionals who want to grow their career in IT support while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced SaaS and cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the
first line of support
for IT-related issues (hardware, software, network, and peripherals) during night shift. - Monitor and respond to service requests via phone, email, chat, or IT ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Assist in setting up and supporting user accounts, email, and permissions (Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L2/L3 support or on-call engineers.
- Maintain accurate logs of user issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Provide support for collaboration tools such as video conferencing systems and meeting room setups.
- Offer basic support for mobile devices (Android/iOS).
- Ensure compliance with AJS Cloud's IT policies, processes, and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–1 years of experience in desktop/technical support (internships or coursework acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Microsoft Office 365
- Computer hardware components
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support remote and onsite users.
- Willingness to work exclusively in the
night shift
. - Eagerness to learn and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Good time management, organizational skills, and ability to document work clearly.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP, or similar IT certification.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Zendesk).
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to Active Directory or MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf).
Work Conditions
- Shift Timings:
Night shift (aligned to U.S. business hours). - Onsite role at AJS Cloud's Chandigarh office.
- May involve rotational weekend or holiday shifts.
- Requires occasional lifting/moving of IT equipment.
