We have an exciting opportunity at SPT Labtech for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing Commercial team, to ideally be based near our India office in Faridabad ( Delhi NCR)  working mainly for the US market, working to a US timezone. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal Sales Development Representative has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads and identifying new business potential, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The Sales Development Representative should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer is an opportunity for boosting top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Salesforce, Linked In, and email to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and territory managers and specialists.
  • Identifying and proactively reaching out to prospective customers to generate demand for SPT Labtech products.
  • Developing and maintaining on-going relationships with customers.
  • Identifying and escalating customer requirements by coordinating resources between different departments in order to deliver solutions efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
  • Collating and communicating customer feedback to appropriate departments.
  • Delivering administrative support including generating quotes, updating CRM etc.
  • Assisting with communication between field-based Sales and their customers.
  • Participate in required and recommended training sessions to obtain and maintain an in-depth technical and applications knowledge of the Company Product Portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline, or equivalent.
  • A remote selling background of at least 2 years’ experience, ideally from within a similar Life Sciences sector.
  • Experience working within a sales and technical team.
  • Strong Organisational and Administration Skills.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • The ability to manage a variety of different tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to be proactive in the workplace.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to conduct presentations in front of varying audiences.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
