Responsibilities for process lead

  • Lead cross-functional business process improvement efforts that affect groups across the company
  • Lead development of documentation and complex analysis of as-is and to-be business processes
  • Identifies solutions to process gaps or risks to leadership to reduce opportunities for process failure
  • Defines highly complex business requirements and provides analysis toward operational efficiency and drives change within the organization
  • Provides input for strategic designs and key performance indicators to better align and measures business unit goals and objectives
  • Provides operational readiness support, including process-centric training related to system capabilities used in the operations of a business process, through content development and co-facilitation
  • Leads impacted business areas through alignment of accountabilities and implementation of future state process through collaboration and influence
  • Facilitate team assignments during plant clean-up periods to meet efficiency requirements
  • Drive the BPC part of the planning process and align activities with stakeholders and BPC team members
  • Ensure reconciliation of data between BPC and connected systems
  • Communicate proactively on the operational progress and issues during the forecast cycle
  • Work closely & reporting to the Process Manager on the timely optimization of processes


Qualifications for process lead

  • Understanding and utilization of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of Lean Enterprise and Six Sigma/ Continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and methodology (including Agile framework)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience of process development/engineering, formulation and related commercial scale-up/manufacturing preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated track record in generating technical options to resolve problems, prioritizing solutions, selecting optimal solutions and implementing decisions in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other Engineering/Continuous Improvement field
