Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive B2C sales in the South Indian market. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the EdTech industry and be proficient in one or more South Indian languages . You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis: Identify and evaluate potential markets and opportunities in the South Indian region, focusing on the B2C segment.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and increase market share in the B2C space.
Client Acquisition & Management: Identify, approach, and acquire new clients, ensuring a strong pipeline of potential customers. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on expanding the company's reach in the South Indian market.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and to align business strategies.
Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, specifically in B2C sales within the EdTech industry.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in one or more South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam) is essential.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade clients.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the South Indian education market and consumer behavior.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM software, sales tools, and EdTech platforms.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
