Responsibilities
Electrical and ELV design, commercial and hospitality complex and infrastructure
- ·Undertake independent Electrical design to local and International standards.
- ·Understand and apply NBC, Indian electrical act, Indian electrical code, NEC, NFPA and other local and international code.
- ·Undertake design of a variety of electrical design elements i.e. LV / MV Distribution and single line drawings, Earthing & Bonding, Lighting, Cable management system, Building power designs, points heating and signal power scheme designs.
- Preparation of load estimation for the project.
- Preparation of concept then detailed design basis reports for the project.
- Carry out Electrical calculations using Dialux, Amtech (optional ) and other equivalent software.
- Assist the Principal /Senior Engineer in presenting design solutions in meeting with clients and contractors;
- Check own electrical designs deliverables and also able to check design prepared within own team and other groups within area of expertise;
- Review of documents/drawing prepared by engineer/designer and ensure compliance from all respects in line with contractual or relevant standards before issue.
- Realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise
- Understanding of liaison requirement and, Third parties and specialist system suppliers and incorporate their requirements in the detail design.
- Support in others in feasibility studies and prepare reports for sustainability options within the Rail environment.
- ·Coordinate with all other disciplines and improve inter-discipline working with other disciplines such as Architecture, Civil and Structural.
- Understanding codes and design requirements for ELV systems like MATV, Telephone, data
- Understanding codes and design requirement for fire alarm security system as per NBC, IS, NFPA.
- Under basic Integrated Building management system requirement and system architectural.
- Preparation of Electrical, DG, Fire alarm & PA, IBMS SOQ, Specification and complete tender package.
- Guide other team members in preparation of Engineering deliverables
