We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef with a background in culinary operations within hospitals and the healthcare industry. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary aspects of our healthcare facility, ensuring exceptional food quality, nutrition, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

Recruit, train, and manage a skilled culinary team tailored to the specific needs of a healthcare environment.Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Kitchen Planning and Setup.

Design and organize kitchen layouts

that optimize workflow and adhere to healthcare industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with facility planners and architects to ensure kitchen spaces are functional and compliant with safety and sanitation guidelines.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development:

Develop and implement standardized culinary processes and procedures to maintain consistency and quality in food production.Establish and enforce sanitation, safety, and hygiene protocols in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Menu Development and Recipe Standardization:

Create nutritious and appealing menus that cater to the dietary needs and restrictions of patients, visitors, and staff.Standardize recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and compliance with dietary guidelines.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure all food preparation meets high-quality standards, nutritional requirements, and infection control protocols.Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Manage food and labor costs effectively, optimizing resources while maintaining quality and service standards.Collaborate with procurement and finance departments to source ingredients and supplies within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a hospital or healthcare setting.In-depth knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety regulations in healthcare environments.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse culinary team.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary institution is preferred.Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
