Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing production support and ensuring the smooth functioning of our database systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle SQL, with the ability to write complex queries independently, perform data analysis, and solve problems efficiently. The role requires flexibility to work in both shifts: 6 AM - 3:30 PM and 12 PM - 9 PM.

Job Description:

As an Oracle PL/SQL Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Oracle database environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, optimize performance, and enhance database functionalities. Your analytical skills will be critical in troubleshooting and providing solutions for various database-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries to support various applications.Conduct data analysis and identify trends or issues within the database.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.Create and manage Jira tickets and ServiceNow tickets for production support activities.Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide database support.Monitor database performance and implement improvements as necessary.Participate in shift handovers and provide updates on ongoing issues and resolutions.Maintain thorough documentation of processes, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements:Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including the ability to write complex queries independently.Excellent data analysis skills with a problem-solving mindset.Familiarity with production support activities and tools, including Jira and ServiceNow.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Availability to work in both shifts: 6 AM - 3:30 PM and 12 PM - 9 PM.

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and support.Relevant certifications in Oracle database technologies are a plus.
