Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Managing Director of Global Markets Technology to lead and drive the technological vision, innovation, and delivery for our Global Markets division. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record of leading complex technology transformations, managing large teams, and delivering scalable solutions in a high-stakes financial environment. The successful candidate will oversee the technology strategy across all trading, risk management, and market data platforms, working closely with senior business leaders to ensure technology aligns with the firm’s market objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the overall technology strategy for the Global Markets division, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.

• Technology Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge trading systems, market data platforms, and risk management solutions.

• Innovation: Drive technological innovation in the areas of AI, machine learning, and big data analytics to enhance trading, risk, and compliance capabilities.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior business leaders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure technology supports market trading and risk objectives.

• Global Team Leadership: Manage and mentor global technology teams, ensuring high performance and effective execution of technology initiatives.

• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple projects and teams.

Required Skills & Experience:


• Experience: 20+ years of experience in leading technology initiatives in Global Markets, with a focus on trading, risk management, and market data platforms.

• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of modern financial technologies, including trading systems, risk platforms, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and big data solutions.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams across multiple geographies, manage complex projects, and drive consensus among stakeholders.

• Business Acumen: Deep understanding of global financial markets, trading operations, market risk management, and regulatory requirements.

• Stakeholder Management: Experience in working closely with senior business leaders to drive technological change and align technology strategy with business needs.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
